Reggie’s story - Frida and Friends Family Member

Our darling Rellerindo came to us only a couple of days old, along with his brothers and sisters who were all named after Mexican sweets and eventually adopted into beautiful homes in Mérida. Sadly, little Rellerindo was rehomed once… and then again. People complained he was too big and untrainable, so of course we opened our door to him once more.

Now he’s back at his Quinta, exactly where he belongs, roaming freely all day with his brothers and sisters. Reunited with his doggy mum Suki who always loved him most as a baby.

Now known as Reggie, he’s a beautiful, handsome boy who’s big, energetic, and needs lots of freedom… and now he finally has it. He spends his days sniffing, digging, rummaging for iguanas, bums, and workers who pet him endlessly.

He is such a sweet soul, and we will never rehome him again—it’s confusing for a dog and it breaks my heart that so many dogs do get rehomed. Or put back in the shelter. But in the end, everything worked out for the best.
