Meet Bruja
Bruja was advertised on Facebook with her two brothers — found in a bag in the trash. One of her brothers didn’t make it… but Bruja and one other little fighter survived. 🖤
She was the first dog I ever adopted in Mérida. She arrived tiny like a baby rat — no fur on her tail, needing baths twice a day and so much medical care… and my heart just exploded.
Working from home, learning Mérida with Frida and Pushy already by my side — Bruja fit right in (and also collected more toys than any dog should own )
She idolised Pushy and was fascinated by Frida (who really doesn’t like puppies ). Pushy mothered her, and Bruja grew stronger and sassier every day.
Walking on a lead? Nope. She rebelled so hard it pushed me toward a dream — living outside the city. That’s how we found the Quinta.
Now she spends her days running wild with the street-dog crew… and her nights curled up inside like the spoiled princess-witch she is.
She’s not the easiest friend — sometimes the bully, sometimes the bullied — but always our Brujita. Mischievous, funny, dramatic, and very convinced she’s the boss.
Bruja truly lives up to her name: Witch by day with her wild coven - Princess by night in bed with mum
We love you, Brujy — our little witch who survived the trash and turned into pure magic.
Maybe a little brain-bonked from her rough start… but perfect all the same.
