Monty was found in Mérida, living in the bushes with other street dogs. Day after day, @perridealer fed them, slowly earning Monty’s trust. He carried deep wounds around his neck — scars from escaping a chained life. Despite the pain and fear, his eyes shone with love and hope. 🐾

After finally being rescued, treated, and shown kindness, Monty’s transformation began. He went from a scared soul to a loyal, loving protector. He sleeps peacefully, plays joyfully, and rules our land with the heart of a king.

Now known as Monty Rey, he’s safe, loved, and forever part of our family. He’s also one of the stars of our TV series — a true hero and protector, Frida’s greatest ally.

Mighty Monty, thank you for teaching us resilience, trust, and unconditional love. You are our protector, our king, and our teacher.

Monty did not trust people when he arrived in my house but we bonded in minutes. He pooed and weed eveywhere and stank like a true dirty street dog. I was not aware of his fear because he seemed to love and trust me straight away and I him. We were inseperable for a long time and he was extremely protective of me and still is. He has eased in though and although he doesn’t trust anyone who doesn’t work at the Quinta full time he is getting better. He used to be scared of anyone touching his head and he used to shake it around a lot which was worrying but all of that has stopped now and he is in perfect condition. He like Sierra is desperate to come back full time to the house but it just isn’t big enough since we have to have all the dogs who are more gentle and sensitive than the main tribe outside in the garden!
